Warm up with Chicken Shawarma!
Our Chicken Shawarma recipe makes dinner so easy and delicious! Just marinade your chicken in olive oil and our Shawarma Spice Blend for 30 minutes or more, cook for 15 minutes and it's on the table! Shawarma is a warming blend of coriander, onion, roasted garlic, sea salt, turmeric, cumin, white pepper, allspice, and green cardamom. Serve it with flat bread, chopped tomato, lettuce, hummus and tzatziki sauce for an easy weeknight meal. It will become part of your weeknight rotation!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb chicken breasts sliced into thin strips
- 2 tsp Shawarma Spice
- 6 TBSP olive oil, divided
- 1/4 ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
Directions:
In a medium bowl (not metal) mix 3 tablespoons olive oil with the Shawarma Spice. Add sliced chicken and stir until all pieces are coated. Cover and place in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
In a large frying pan or Dutch oven, heat remaining 3 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Place the chicken pieces into the pan and season with the salt and pepper. Stir fry for about 15 minutes or until chicken begins to turn golden brown. Remove from pan to cutting board and chop into smaller pieces (optional).
Serve with flat bread, chopped tomato, lettuce, hummus and tzatziki sauce.
