Ingredients:
• 6 cups Crispix or mix of corn and/or rice Chex cereal
• 4 cups Golden Grahams cereal
• 2 cups mini pretzels or pretzel sticks
• 1/4 cup white sugar
• 1 1/2 tsp Speculaas
• Pinch Kosher salt
• 3/4 cup salted butter
• 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
• 1 cup dried apple pieces
• 1 cup honey roasted almonds
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 275°F and line 2 cookie sheets with Silpat or parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine cereals and pretzels. Set aside.
In a small bowl, mix white sugar, and spice blend of choice and a pinch of kosher salt. Set aside.
Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir brown sugar into the melted butter. Microwave for another minute or so until bubbly. Whisk the butter and brown sugar mixture until it fully combines and thickens.
Pour the syrup over the cereal mix and stir with a spatula until fully coated.
Spread the mix evenly on the prepared cookie sheets.
Sprinkle the spiced sugar mixture over the cereal and gently toss to ensure all pieces are coated.
Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and immediately add apple pieces and almonds and toss to incorporate.
Let the mix cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
