This light and celebratory mocktail features non-alcoholic sparkling wine infused with house-made lavender orange simple syrup and finished with a splash of club soda. Delicately floral with bright citrus notes and an elegant sparkle, it’s a refreshing toast to any occasion.
Lavender Orange Simple Syrup
Ingredients:
· ¼ cup dried food-grade lavender (fresh can be used as well)
· 1 cup granulated sugar
· ¾ cup water
· 1 large orange, sliced
Directions:
1. Add the lavender flowers, water, sugar, and orange slices into a small saucepan. Stir over low heat to dissolve the sugar. Allow the mixture to come to a boil for a few minutes, then turn down the heat.
2. Remove the orange slices from the syrup and simmer the syrup for an additional 10 minutes over low heat. Allow the lavender flowers to steep in the syrup for at least a few hours, or preferably, overnight.
3. Strain the syrup using a soup bag or sachet bag. Squeeze the syrup out of the lavender bag before discarding it. Pour the syrup into a tight sealing bottle and store in the refrigerator.
